Send your first graphic to Program

Go from a template to a cue in Preview, then take it to Program.

Start with one cue

  1. Create a composition. Use Compositions → New. Save the project to a writable folder before building the rundown.
  2. Build a template in Edit. Add a rectangle and a text object. Enter a name directly, or use {{name}} to make it a variable.
  3. Prepare the animation. Select a layer and set its In and Out animation, delay and duration. Play the timeline to check the sequence.
  4. Create a cue in Live. Choose New cue, select your template and give the cue a useful name. You can reuse the template in more cues.
  5. Load Preview. Select the cue, press Preview and fill in its variables. Use Play in and Play out to rehearse.
  6. Take it to Program. Press Take when ready. Prepare any further changes in Preview and press Update to publish them. Press Out to run the exit animation.

Practice without a physical output first. You can use the built-in Preview and Program monitors before assigning a display.

Save your work

Save the composition again after editing. Keep backups of its folder, including the project and its media assets.
