Operate a rundown
Prepare cues, change data and keep track of what is on air.
Selection is not Preview
The selected rundown cue is the target for transport actions. The data column belongs to the cue loaded in Preview, which may be different. Check both names before operating.
The four main actions
- Preview
- Load the cue for preparation and rehearsal.
- Take
- Put the selected cue on Program.
- Update
- Publish the prepared Preview cue's data and template changes to Program.
- Out
- Run the cue's exit animation and remove it from Program.
Auto update changes the workflow. Leave it off when you want to review changes before publishing. Shared timer controls are global and can affect linked objects already on air.
Organize the rundown
Use named, color-coded cue groups and drag cues to arrange them. A collapsed group still shows its on-air cues. A cue cannot be deleted while it is on Program.
Prepare repeated data
In Variable presets, save the current values and give the preset a useful name. Double-click a preset to load its saved values. Keep cue-specific instructions in Operator notes.
Before leaving a live session
Remove active cues and check Program. Closing the application asks for confirmation and takes active graphics out before it exits.
